How to read Epic after school without paying? ›

Do I need a credit or debit card for remote access to Epic? No payment card is required to sign up for the free remote access to Epic, just an email address. Please make sure you use the invitation sent by your scholar's teacher for Remote Student Access to use the full program during remote learning.

Epic is, and will always be, a safe and secure environment for children to explore. We work tirelessly to ensure that children will never come across inappropriate content, in-app purchases or ads on Epic.

I think Epic is an excellent tool for readers of all ability levels. It takes some time to learn how to navigate the product properly, but once you have that figured out, all is well. I wish I had the money to pay for my students to use this at home as well.

Yes! If your child's teacher is using Epic at school, you can log in to use Epic for free from 7am to 3pm local time, M-F, using the class code from your teacher.

If you want to maintain access to Epic all summer, you must first sign up for Remote Student Access (this is the same level of access you have through Clever). On July 1, Epic will transition you to "Epic Free" for the rest of the summer.

In a message sent to families and media on Thursday, the district said the move was in response to concerns surrounding a book titled "An ABC of Equality" and "others with similar topics" on the app called Epic!

And they're getting results. A school superintendent in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee, pulled his system's e-reader offline for a week last month, cutting access for 40,000 students, after a parent searched the Epic library available on her kindergartner's laptop and found books supporting LGBTQ pride.

While I would say that the nonfiction is interesting and high quality on both RAZ Kids and Epic!, the Epic! has a fiction collection that absolutely blows RAZ Kids out of the water. They have a lot more authentic children's literature including popular series like Big Nate and older classics like Bridge to Terabithia.

Is Epic good for dyslexia? ›
